A Matcha Gift Set was sent at no cost for review. The hubby loves his morning matcha and he appreciated having quality pieces to work with as he prepared his tea.
The hubby used to love nothing more than to sit in the morning and have a nice cup of mocha. He would roast his own coffee beans (he still does for me) and then make the espresso, foam the milk and mix up his special elixir of chocolate and who knows what else to go into the coffee.
Then he started not sleeping at night. It really became a problem. He went for a sleep study and they told him to made some adjustments to the way he was doing things and suggested he cut out coffee. It wasn’t something he wanted to do but he wanted to sleep more than he wanted to drink his beloved mocha. It was then that he switched to green tea. He found that drinking the tea did not impact his sleep so he started having a cup of green tea every morning.
Then he discovered matcha tea and that is all he drinks now. I know a lot of people use match as an ingredient in smoothies but the hubby drinks it hot. He had been just mucking along so when I was given the opportunity to present him with a complete matcha tea gift set I was thrilled.
It came packaged in a lovely gift box. When the hubby opened it he found:
The MatchaDNA Matcha tea set includes:
• a Beautiful Gift Box,
• a handmade Matcha Tea Bowl/Cup (Chawan),
• a handcrafted Bamboo Tea Whisk (Chasen),
• a ceramic Matcha Whisk Holder,
• a natural Bamboo Tea Spoon (Chashaku),
• a 1 oz bag of USDA Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder
Everything was a of a very nice quality. He has been using for about a month now and he is very pleased with it. I’ve made a little video to show you his “process.”
If you cannot see the video you can watch it on YouTube HERE
He now can sit and enjoy his matcha tea and read the paper in the morning. And since the weather is turning he can go out on the deck and watch the river float by.
There are two different grades of matcha tea – culinary and ceremonial. This kit came with culinary grade tea. I’ll soon have a post on the two different types and the differences between them so look for it soon! For now you can purchase your matcha gift set on Amazon.com – it retails for $49.99. It would make an excellent present for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day!
