Artisan Bracelets Are a Great Start to a Bracelet Wardrobe

I have always been a big fan of bracelets. They can add a pop of color or a bit of sparkle to any outfit – whether you are wearing jeans, a business suit or a cocktail dress. Through the years I have managed to collect a number of different pieces of arm candy and I have to say that some of my favorites are the artisan bracelets that I have purchased along the way. The beauty of these pieces is that they can be as simple or as fancy as you would like.

Artisan Bracelets are a Great Start Towards Building a Bracelet Wardrobe

There are times when you don’t want to wear a necklace – it could be your shirt or sweater doesn’t allow for one or you just don’t want to draw attention to your neck that day.  Not everyone has pierced ears; I know when my hair was long I didn’t bother with earrings because they just got caught up in my hair. This is where a little sparkle on the wrist is the perfect accessory.

One of my favorite ways to fancy up my wrist is with a gorgeous beaded artisan bracelet from Beaded Tail. It’s called a Caterpillar Bracelet. I had mine custom made and despite this photo, it truly does sparkle like it’s made of gemstones as opposed to glass beads. Don’t you love it? I sure do.

crystal bracelet

A few months ago I shared some of my simpler – but still sparkly – bracelets when I showed you how to style a wood watch with artisan bracelets. This single strand crystal bracelet really catches the light and thanks to the color choices of the stones, it will go with just about anything. It can also be worn with other bracelets which is wonderful. This was made by Carly’s Haven.

gemstone bracelet

A third type of artisan bracelet is the gemstone bracelet. Of course, this is one of my favorites ’cause gemstones. The one pictured above is a sterling silver bangle bracelet with peridot and two colors of chalcedony. I made this little pretty and and if you can’t tell I love this color combination. This type of bracelet is more casual and most suited to a sundress or jeans.

Heirloom Bracelets

There are some pieces that don’t fit a mold. You know the ones I mean – the charm bracelet your husband starts for you, or the one your mother hands down to you. That’s the one I have. It’s sterling silver and has some really unique charms on it. Watch:

I just wish I knew the stories behind them. I found this after my mother died. In fact, I suspect it was her mother’s. I have no idea why any of these charms were bought and that is sad. My favorite is the the little jack in the box charm. Followed by the pot and lid.

I also have a pearl bracelet that was my mother’s. Both of these pieces mean a lot to me. I am sure most of you have jewelry like this. So, with bracelets like these and the ones mentioned above everyone can build a great bracelet wardrobe to add some sparkle and color to their jewelry box.
