I am so pleased that I was able to to go to the 10th Anniversary BlogPaws Pet Influencer Conference this year. It had not been in my plans but thanks to Chewy® offering me a full sponsorship I was able to attend. This was my third BlogPaws and at each one I learn something new. I had a wonderful time and have so much I’d like to share with you. In the next post I will cover my experiences and why you should consider attending the next BlogPaws Pet Influencer Conference – whether you blog or just love your pets.
I am a BlogPaws Conference Sponsored Blogger on behalf of Chewy.com. I am being compensated to help share information about the BlogPaws 10th Anniversary Conference and Chewy.com with my readers and fellow Influencers, Neither Chewy.com or BlogPaws are responsible for the content of this article.
5 Reasons to Attend the BlogPaws Pet Influencer Conference
In today’s post I’ll share five reasons you would benefit from attending the next BlogPaws conference. It’s going to be in sunny Florida! Chewy has acquired BlogPaws and I think it’s going to be a very beneficial partnership. As soon as I know the full details of the conference location and its dates I’ll put it out on my social channels. You all know by now how much I love Chewy.com – the Farm cats get all of their food, treats and litter delivered every month through their autoship program. I’ll write more about that at the end of today’s post. Onward –
Number 1. The Learning
Each BlogPaws offers a series of sessions that are designed to help you make your blog better. There are also classes that educate on photography and writing skills so it’s not just for people who have blogs. This 10th Anniversary year offered the opportunity to learn about SEO basics, smartphone photography, affiliate marketing, making Instagram stories and so much more.
Number 2. Meeting Different Brands
BlogPaws has an Exhibit Hall where dozens of brands set up booths with there products so you can visit and learn about dog, cat and small animal foods, toys, treats and other products. There were even representatives from a company that catered to farm animals! (Pricilla would have loved that.)
Tomorrow I will breakdown the brands that I met but here is a little sneak peek starring Sherpa. In addition to being able to bring home some tryables for your furry family members you also learn about the philosophies of the companies and how they pursue their businesses.
Number 3. Interacting with Fellow Pet Lovers
There are many opportunities to meet in person the people you have been interacting with online. The first time I went to BlogPaws I was beyond thrilled to speak to the humans behind some of my favorite pet blogs. I’d been chatting with them online but human interaction is so much better. As you all know I live in the middle of nowhere so I rarely see anyone, getting to the conference gave me three days of cat people! Ok, and some dog, rabbit, horse and rat people too. It was wonderful.
Number 4. Meeting Famous Internet Cats
I find it very exciting to meet the cats I read about day after day – not to mention some that are new to me. The very first BlogPaws I attended I met Waffles from Glogirly – I not only met him I slept with him. Yes, I slept with a cat other than the Farm cats!
This time around I was thrilled to meet Summer from Sparklecat.com She is the softest cat in the world. Summer also does tricks like high five and ringing a bell. She is very smart. Cupcake is the darling tuxie cat from Cats Going Places. Her sister Chanel from Random Felines was there too but I did not snag her photo.
Samson is the cool cat with the John Lennon sunglasses – he was a very relaxed guy as you can see. Last but assuredly not least is Coco the Couture Cat. Coco is the most stylish cat on the internet – her wardrobe is better than mine was or will ever be. She is also very sweet. You will be entertained and informed if you check out all of their blogs. Well, Samson has an Instagram page.
Number 5. Getting the Latest Pet Product Information
The brands that attend the BlogPaws Pet Influcencer Conference are there for several reasons; to showcase their product lines and to introduce what new items are coming soon to the market. By going to the conference you might be ahead of the curve when it comes to knowing what will be on the shelves in the months going forward. It also affords the brands the opportunity to speak with consumers of their products and get input for future products.
Bonus Number 6. There Might Be Kittens
This year the local shelter Wayside Waifs, brought some kittens over for “Kitten Therapy” in the Cat Lounge. After a long day of learning and networking it was delightful to be able to go and snuggle with a tiny little ball of purring fur. This doesn’t always happen at a BlogPaws but when it does, it’s magical.
BlogPaws
I hope this has made you excited about the BlogPaws Conference. But BlogPaws is more than just a once a year meeting. It’s a community of pet lovers that come together on the internet to learn and support each other within a website and Facebook groups. You can learn more through these sites:

Chewy
Chewy.com purchase BlogPaws and it will bring some changes from what has gone before. It will be a learning process for all of us but I think it will be a good one. I have had nothing but positive experiences working with Chewy – both as a blogger and as a consumer.
I’ve been getting the Farm Cats’ food from them for quite some time and the boxes arrive every month like clockwork. If I ever have an issue their customer service is the best I have ever dealt with – I just use their 24/7 online chat and someone is there to fix whatever needs fixing.
Chewy has a multitude of brands bringing you food for your dogs, cats and other small animals. You will find food, treats, litter, toys and other pet needs. Shipping is free for orders of $49+ If you sign up for the Autoship program there are some discounts available on certain foods. You can learn more:
