I’ve chronicled my ongoing attempts to upgrade my wardrobe for my attendance at the BlogPaws blogging conference in May. (Tickets are still available if you would like to go – check out the BlogPaws site.) I cannot express how nice it is to have new clothes that fit. I’m slightly more formal in this outfit but I still think it falls into business casual. I’m not sure yet whether I’ll take this with me or not but it’s nice to know I have the option! The jacket is a gorgeous shade of (surprise, surprise) pink and I found it when I did my review of Modnique back in November. It took a fair while to get here; I didn’t received until almost Christmas but it was worth the wait. It was made in Italy and the cut is to die for.
It fits like a glove, yet is easy to move in and is very, very comfortable. It’s made from a heavyweight woven cotton and is fully lined.
I’ve paired it with the khaki pants I showed in a past OOTD post (outfit of the day). For a shot of contrast I’ve worn my cami from Fresh Produce in a pretty mint green. The necklace is from Majestical Jewelry.
All very straightforward, yes. A pretty jacket a soft, comfortable cami and I’m good to go, right? But I haven’t shown you my shoes. Oh how I love these shoes. They look so simple there, don’t they? In fact when I saw them on the DSW site I had no idea that I would love them as much as I do.
I wanted a simple sandal to wear and I know that studs are all the rage right now so I picked them out. What I didn’t realize is how much they would sparkle in the light! You really can’t tell from the photo here and it was the same when I picked them out but those studs really throw some light!
They are simple yet very stylish at the same time. I can’t wear heels (SOB) and for the longest time finding pretty flats was nigh on impossible. Thankfully designers are now making beautiful shoes for people like me. They are also quite comfortable.
So, another outfit ready to go. The jacket is a great addition to my closet. I just acquired a pair of black pants so it will also go with them. Slowly but surely I’m building myself a wardrobe that will work outside of the goat pen.
