I am happy to be back in the groove with Friday’s Hunt. I missed a couple of weeks; one because the hubby took me out on a date to see Mary Chapin Carpenter in Missoula. Then I switched hosts on the blog and it was not as smooth a move as I would have liked but all is well now and I’m back to sharing my week though the fun photohunt hosted by Teresa at Eden Hills. To remind you of how it works – there are three prompts and anyone participating can find inspiration from 1, 2 or all 3 prompts. Although, per usual I mostly post cat photos. Heh
This week’s prompts are:
- Starts with N
- Week’s Favorite
- I Made This
Starts with N
I have to go with the obvious here and pick New Cat. We found ourselves owned by another feline. You can read about how she came to be with us here. She has been settling in but there have been some hisses and spits.
Snowy is a hisser. She hisses as soon as she sees any of the other farm cats. Mostly the others just hiss back but Harry has been a bit more, erm proactive let’s say. It’s getting better. It just takes time. She is a little lovebug though – a real cuddler.
I Made This
I was so happy with our blackberry harvest this year. It was exceptional. I had mentioned the blackberries in a past post and sadly they are done now that we’ve had a frost. One of the last things I made with them was a delicious blackberry sorbet. It was refreshing, bright and full of blackberry flavor. I was able to put enough blackberry puree in the freezer so we can enjoy a batch mid-winter which will be a real treat.
I took a series of photos of Sherpa and this one was a favorite. I played with some filters and made it black and white. I usually don’t make black and whites of him because of his beautiful orange fur but for some reason it really worked. I just love how this looks.
I hope you liked my choices this week and I am truly happy to be back in the (Friday’s) Hunt. Be sure to head over to Eden Hills to check out all of the other great blogs participating.
