I wrote the other day of the hubby’s and my trip to the Western Montana Fair. Since it was a day off of the Farm I was excited to wear a new outfit. You can see how it’s the little things that rule my life these days…. Nonetheless I’d like to share with you my comfortable fair wear. I don’t know how many fairs you have gone to but I’ve been to quite a few and the thing I have taken away from them is be comfortable.
A Skirt – to a Fair?
Yes, why not? It’s easy to walk in, it’s cooler than jeans and if you ask me far more comfortable. This beauty is from LuLaRoe, It’s one of three that I have from the company and I do love them. The print on this one is one of my favorites; it is bright and happy and I think it can go three seasons. The sunflowers just make me smile.
Perfect for Walking on a Midway
I wore my cowboy boots with the skirt – one thing I would never wear to a fair is open toed shoes. Especially when you plan to walk through the animal barns. Need I explain why? My boots are comfortable and they offer some nice ankle support for all of that uneven ground. That is also the beauty of a maxi skirt – it’s the perfect foil for boots.
Cool but Covered
I topped my skirt with a navy tank top from The Gap and a gorgeous crocheted sweater that I found on my favorite source for quality thrifting – ThredUp.com It’s an Ellen Tracy and I love that it’s lightweight but still keeps me warm. I’m just always cold and little sweaters like this are a mainstay in my wardrobe. All in all I felt put together and ready for the fair.
