The Farm cats received a free fountain from PetSafe.
The Farm cats are very lucky cats. Not to mention just a little bit spoiled. But there is one thing I have always wanted for them but didn’t have. I’m very happy to report that thanks to the very nice people at PetSafe the Farm cats now have a very spiffy Drinkwell Pagoda Fountain from which to drink their water. Even more exciting it’s in the brand new Himalayan Blue color! It was just voted into the line by the viewers of HGTV’s Blog Cabin and won out over taupe winning a whopping 76% of the vote. It joins white and red as the choices so you can have a fountain to go with any decor.
Having fresh water available for your cats is very important as your pet needs an ounce of water a day per pound of body weight. With four Farm cats in the yurt I need to make sure I always have fresh water in their bowl. By having the Drinkwell® Fountain available for them I know that they will have nicely filtered water any time they need it.
It was very easy to put together and I will tell you right from the get go I am really bad when it comes to reading directions and getting from A to B but I was able to have the pet fountain up and running in about 10 minutes. I just set all of the pieces out on my table and read the directions.
In a few short steps – with only one misstep, erm – I had the fountain ready to go! I wanted to put it where their old water dish was but I couldn’t access an outlet so I have it in the bathroom for now. The hubby says he will move the refrigerator for me “in his spare time” so I can get to the outlet. I expect it will be in the bathroom for a while.
I just set it on a towel and had it all ready to go before I put the water in it. Of course I can never do anything like this without help. But that’s OK – it was for the cats! I filled it with water and it worked! Hooray.
Sherpa approved. So far he and Harry have used it. Stinky and Pumpkin are still a little afraid of it but I’m sure they will come to appreciate it. I love the sound of running water – it’s so soothing. I’ll have a full report from the Farm cats on Pricilla’s blog on Friday so be on the lookout for that. It will come with additional entries into the giveaway!
