It’s time for another Friday’s Hunt – the fun photohunt hosted by Teresa at Eden Hills. Each week she gives three prompts and all are invited to share their photos. I am late in posting this week because I took two days off for the Thanksgiving holiday.
You can join in at any time. This week’s prompts are:
- Starts with V
- Week’s Favorite
- Thankful
Starts with V
I am very full from my Thanksgiving dinner. We did not go the traditional route here on the farm. Instead I cooked a ham, made some creamed cabbage and pineapple bacon dressing. That recipe will be up on the blog next week. This week’s photos aren’t so much about the quality of the shot but about leading to the giving thanks.
Week’s Favorite
I made a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving as I do love pumpkin pie and one has to hie to tradition somewhere in the day. I decided to dress it up a little and it became a very happy looking pie. It was, I might add, a very tasty pie as well.
Thankful
This is not going to be photo although I have plenty of visual representations of what I have to be thankful for – I am offering instead a giveaway. I have been celebrating my 10th Blogaversary all year. It rather snuck up on me. It’s rather hard to believe that this little blog has been around that long. My form of celebration has been to introduce a few of my oldest internet friends to my larger blogger world. I’m happy to note that Teresa was one of the first people I “met” in the goat blogging world. Her Millie and my Pricilla were like minded goats. I miss them both terribly. They both had much to maaaa to the world at large.
Teresa has given me more goat advice in the years I had my herd and it was invaluable to have someone I could turn to with any question. And some of them were doozies. But she offered me the entirety of her experience and for that I am so very thankful. It made it easier to deal with the crises that arose to know I had someone out there who could help. Even if it was to only cry with me over the losses.
Teresa has a Farm Market on her real, actual farm – not like my little pretend farm. In her market you can find the fruits of her labors including goat’s milk soaps and lotions (I can tell you the lotion is AWESOME!) Teresa also makes candles and melts. She is also an amazing photographer and you can purchase calendars with some of her beautiful photos from her farm. And notecards – I’ve been using her notecards. Last but not least is the popcorn. I am addicted to the popcorn grown on her farm.
I want to share all that I have learned about Teresa’s great products so I’m giving away a $50 shopping spree to her Eden Hills Market. One lucky US reader will get to pick what they’d like and enjoy Teresa’s stuff as much as I do. Just enter as many times as you would like on the Gleam widget below. I’ll be adding more ways to enter next week so be sure to check back. Full rules are on the widget. Good luck everyone.
