It’s time for another Friday’s Hunt. Can you believe it? I really look forward to these posts each week as they give me a chance to just share some fun from the Farm. It was a fun week since the hubby finished up the duck pond. The Happy Ducks are so…..happy! I’ll have the last post in my Adding a Pond series up one day next week.
But back to the fun that is Friday’s Hunt. Each week our lovely host, Teresa at Eden Hills, gives us three prompts and we can choose to use 1,2, or all 3 of them. This week’s prompts are:
- Starts with F
- Week’s Favorite
Starts with F
It’s going to be an all duck week to celebrate the duck pond (I should state that the duck pond has been brought to us by smartpond and we are very thankful for their sponsorship of the pond.) I would offer feathers as one of the hens spreads them wide to start cleaning herself in the pond. She’s one of the two sitting on the nest so when she comes out to swim in the pond she really does enjoy herself.
Although she does look a little frazzled in this photo. Her feathers are all floofed. She did eventually get herself back in order before she went back to sit on the nest.
The surface of the duck pond is very shiny in the sunlight.
We had bought some floating plants for the pond, mostly for photo taking purposes. We suspected that they would be duck snax. We were right. No sooner did the ducks see them then they were all over them. They didn’t last one day. Mr. Happy Duck did most of the eating.
I must admit that watching the ducks in their new pond gives me a great amount of joy. They run to it in the morning and spend a fair amount of time in it during the day. It’s always nice when a project works as it was meant to.
Be sure to head over to Eden Hills to see all of the other participants in Friday”s Hunt.
