Holiday Fun: Where Did The Farm Cats Send Their Secret Paws Gift?
The Farm cats put together a very special package for a very special pair of cats – Summer and Boodie from Sparklecat.com! You can read all about how much fun they had opening their box on their blog post.
Sherpa was even nice enough to include a little bit of his spit on Trout’s cousin. We always try to send a little Trout love out into the world since Harry and Sherpa love Trout so much.
Holiday Fun: International Secret Paws
The Farm cats’ Secret Paws came from overseas this year! It arrived with a Swiss address. The Swiss Cats sent them (and me) a lovely box full of treats. They even remembered Cappuccino!
They sent Cappuccino a box of Swiss bunny treats. Despite the look on his little face he really likes them. In fact he is just mad that I would only let him have one and not the whole box!
Sherpa was the first into the box and he found the compressed catnip mice and well, that was that. He LOVES them and has been playing with them since he took them from the box. Needless to say he does not share with Harry. I have never seen him play with a toy like he does with these mice.
But that is OK. Harry has taken the other toys that were sent. There was also a valerian filled heart but it has been hidden. Cats will be cats after all.
I love the stand up calendar with the glorious scenery. I will enjoy each month’s new view. We all thank everyone from The Swiss Cats and hope they have a Joyeaux Noel.
Holiday Fun: Bookish Secret Santa
I also participate in a gift exchange with a group of book lovers called the Bookish Secret Santa. This is a fun one for me as I am in a group of people that loves to read and appreciates books in all their forms. Used books are encouraged (and we all know I have a lot of used books!) It is run by Michelle from True Book Addict and my Secret Santa this year was Michelle!
She sent me such a lovely box and it arrived on the Solstice. Inside were two suspiciously book like packages and the cutest little mailbox. Inside the mailbox were Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer Gummies – I love, love, love gummies! – Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Caramel Squares, a cute Christmas cat notepad and two Christmas pins in a book gift box. Too cute, right?
The suspicious packages did indeed contain books. Books from my reading wishlist. Believe it or not I have quite a wishlist of books I want to read even with all of the books I do read. I have wanted both The Miniaturist and The Paying Guests for a bit so these are perfect to add to my library.
I thank Michelle for my perfect Bookish gift.
My box went out to my Secret Bookish Santa with a copy of Epsilon Eridani (Aeon 14 Enfeild Genesis) by Lisa Richman and M.D. Cooper as she requested SciFi. Lisa is also the author of the very funny blog A Tonk’s Tail. I also sent some dark chocolate and some of Pricilla’s rich soap.
Merry Christmas for Cappuccino
If you recall, we bought an AeroGarden for Cappuccino. Since the whole e-coli on romaine thing happened he has not been a happy bunny as he loves romaine. Well, he is a happy bunny once again. After waiting
not soAeroGarden patiently for the last month his romaine gave him his first harvest today.
He chomped that romaine down and did a little rabbit dance. So he definitely is having a very Merry Christmas.
Enjoy the Holidays
All of us here hope you enjoy your holidays. I will be taking a few days off from the blog so I can also enjoy time with the hubby and the pets. The next post will be up on Friday when I will have a review for A Trace of Deceit by Karen Odden. To intrigue you – it’s quite good!
