I am always cold. It could be 90° out and I’ll still feel chilled. I keep joking that I’m evolving for global warming. I’m happiest when it’s over 100°. I know that I’m heading into the desert for BlogPaws – it’s just outside of Las Vegas but it’s in an air conditioned hotel. Air conditioning and I do not get along; it’s very abrasive on my skin so I tend to avoid it as much as I can. When we built the yurt we put in the ducting but no air conditioning. We really haven’t needed it but figure if we ever do sell it will be necessary.
So, where is all of this leading? I knew I’d be cold in the hotel but I didn’t want to walk around looking like winter. I figured the solution would be some kind of wrap. I was browsing around etsy and and stumbled upon a shop and fell in love. Anna Wegrowska makes felted scarves, wraps, bags and necklaces and sells them through her shop AnnaWegg. I fell in love with several of her designs but picked the felted scarf I did because I figured it was springlike, would go with many pieces in my wardrobe and I loved it!
It’s made from merino wool and silk. Before I bought it I contacted Anna and asked if it would be warm or just decorative because I needed warm. She assured me that it would be warm. It is. When I wrap it around my shoulders it’s like a soft, warm hug.
It matches perfectly with my Aphrodite dress and it also goes with the other outfits I have planned for my trip. I love how soft it feels against my skin. The colors are so vibrant.
It can be washed – the instructions are to just put it in warm water with some gentle soap or shampoo and then to let it dry flat.
Anna is in Wales (I’m on a UK kick with my buying lately.) but the scarf came to me quickly. She has a lot of beautiful designs. I have my eye on this one next. I just have to save my pennies. If that doesn’t scream spring I don’t know what does.
I’ll be showing you the rest of my fun purchases for BlogPaws in the coming weeks. It was so much fun to shop!
