This is a Fashionista Events Opportunity
I’ve written quite a few times about all of the fun the hubby and I had while we were traveling about in the fifthwheel. There are so many places we went that I want to share and I just have to get my act together and scan the photos. We did that travel in the days of the digital camera but before the whole social media world exploded so my method of “sharing” was to print off multiple copies of the pictures and mail them back to my nieces and nephews each week. I can only imagine what I spent on photo paper!
We did not manage to visit all 50 states in our travels – Hawaii would have been tough with a truck and trailer! But I believe we covered close to 30. We had previously visited all of New England so we did not go back up there although I would have done so quite happily. We also missed many of the states along the Canadian border excepting Montana of course!
As to the Heartland, well we really didn’t visit too much of it in the trailer. I am T.E.R.R.I.F.I.E.D. of tornadoes and when you are living in a tornado magnet you just don’t travel through tornado country. You just don’t. The hubby just shook his head at me and planned our travel routes very north or very south. What can I say – we all have our bugaboos. I have been to one state in the mid-west but we traveled there by plane, not trailer. I’ve mentioned it in the past; it was for a conference.

We visited Missouri! I will admit that we had a wonderful time – even though it was the middle of summer and those tornadoes could have struck at any time. Sneaky devils those whirlwinds! But fortunately for me I was in St. Louis and they tend to stay away from big cities – at least they used to. (The weather, it is a’ changin’!) We tacked on an extra day and it was fun touring around the city. I would love to go back and see the rest of the state because it has so much to offer.
Wouldn’t you like to go on vacation to Missouri? I’ll tell you something – I had fun in St. Louis – I am still a bit of a city girl at heart. I know that doesn’t jive with my current lifestyle but I love being in a city. I don’t think I could live in one but I find magic in a visit to city. So I’ll be back St. Louis. I’ll be back.
What about you? Where would you like to visit in Missouri – Branson, St. Louis, somewhere else?
