Linguine with Crab and Broccoli in a Lemon Pepper Sauce

I have the world’s worst craving for crab lately.  This is not a good thing because crabmeat is not cheap. I finally broke down and bought an 8oz tub of frozen crabmeat at the local grocery store and then kept it in my freezer until I could figure out the best way to showcase it. It would have to be a somewhat simple crab recipe because I wanted the crustacean to shine but with only 8 ounces I was limited. So I figured pasta was going to be a good base as long as I didn’t go too crazy with the sauce. This linguine with crab and broccoli is the simple and yet very tasty result.

How Was the Crab Recipe?

This was so good. Even though it doesn’t have a lot of crab the flavor was still evident and there were nice chunks of crab throughout. That is why it was worth paying for the lump crabmeat rather than the claw. This is not a cheap recipe by any stretch but it was worth it for a special dinner. In this case the “special” was my really, really wanting some crab. Hahahaha

I was very glad I was able to make this crab recipe for dinner and we both really enjoyed it. I have since purchased some crabcakes and they are in the freezer for another evening for dinner. My crab cravings will surely be satisfied with them. I added them to my last order from Sizzlefish.

finamill

What is That Pretty Mill I am Using?

I will tell you! The finamill is a totally new kind of mill. It uses cartridges that are called finapods AND it is battery operated. This makes grinding fresh spices so very convenient as you don’t have to empty and fill and fill and empty your mill when you want to grind different things. Nor do you have to have many different mills for many different things.

How.Cool.Is.This? I love it!

I won my finamill from I Am the Maven – be sure to check out the blog, so many great posts to read! It’s particularly full of fun stuff for the kids.

The finamill is so convenient. I keep it on its tray and can grab it when I need it for cooking. It would make an excellent gift for the foodie in your life.  It’s available in three different colors – red, black, or white –  and you can finamill on Amazon.
