I love my new home state – although calling it new after I have lived here for 12 years is amusing. Although I suppose to native born Montanans I am and will always be a newcomer. This is a huge state and there is still a lot of it I haven’t seen so when I was offered Montana Moments by Chuck Haney I gladly accepted a copy at no charge for my honest review.

My Opinion:
This is a beautiful book. Absolutely stunning. It has words but the words really aren’t the point. The photos are the point. I have said since I moved here that Montana is one of the most scenically beautiful places I have ever seen and I’ve been some beautiful places.
This is a large, coffee table type book so the photos have a large platform to be showcased. And they deserve it. Mr. Haney manages to capture the different geologic areas of Montana and show them off to great advantage. From the snow covered peaks of the mountains to the windswept plains the glory of Montana is on view. The book has shown me just how little of my new home I have seen and how much there is for me to yet explore.
Whether you are a long time Montana resident or a “wish you were here” type this book will bring the beauty of the state to you in living color.
