I’ve written several times about my love of the subscription box. That is why I was so thrilled to receive a three month trial to MunchPak to review. For a girl who loves surprises – and snacks – receiving a box of different treats in the mail is guaranteed to give me a smile.
September’s Box
My first MunchPak arrived for September and it was full of snacks both sweet and savory. Some were familiar and some not so much. Most of the fun of this type of box is trying the different snacks from other countries or trying what might seem familiar but is not. For example, this box contained Cheetos but they were packed for an Asian country. To me they were tasty but slightly sweeter and less salty than our Cheetos.
This box had my favorite treat out of all of the boxes. Perhaps not due to its taste but more for it’s cute factor. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy this little Hippo cookie because I did. It had a light outer shell with a delicious hazelnut cream inside. I’d never seen it before and it made me smile.
The video shows all of the products that were in the box.
October’s Box
The second month brought a box that had more sweet than salty. The Tutku cookies were the favorite in this box. A crispy vanilla and chocolate swirled cookie shell with a chocolate cream inside. Not too sweet and delightful with coffee. The big surprise in the box was the MultiGrain bar – I wasn’t expecting much from it and it was the best granola type bar I think I’ve ever had. The Pizza crackers were a bit of a disappointment – they were overly salty and had no discernible pizza flavor.

November’s Box
My last box just arrived over the weekend. This was the most exotic box out of the three. The Bacon Puffs were surprisingly tasty – I must admit I wasn’t expecting them to be good but once I started eating them, well the bag was soon empty. Erm. The ginger Swoffle cookie was very tasty and I adore Vienna Wafers – they are my favorite cookie. I did not have the guts to try the smoked seaweed roll. I left that to the hubby. Turns out I was smart. He said it was the oddest combination of sweet and seaweedy he had ever eaten and after one bite it went in the trash. He did though, love the Voodoo chips.
How Do You Get Some MunchPak?
MunchPak is available in three sizes:
- MunchPak Mini (5-6 Snacks) $9.95
MunchPak Original (10+ Snacks) $19.95
MunchPak Family Pak (20+ Snacks) $39.95
(The size I have reviewed is the MunchPak Original.) You can order for yourself or send it as a gift. What I really like is you can customize your MunchPak – you can fill out a super quick survey indication whether you want salty or sweet or if there are things you don’t want. That helps to make sure that your box will start in a good place.
MunchPak also has “Snack Scanner” app where you can scan the barcode of a snack to learn more about its country of origin and also purchase more of your favorite snacks. You get the info in each box.
With Christmas coming just think of how much fun a MunchPak subscription would be for your college student or even for someone in the service. Getting a box of snacks is always sure to bring a smile to someone’s face. I was very happy with my three month subscription and while I may not have liked everything that came it was fun to try treats from all over the world.
