I love having a book on hand that is not necessarily to be read straight through but rather to picked up for small fragments of reading here and there. National Geographic’s Almanac 2020 is just the thing. I thank TLC Book Tours for sending me a copy at no charge for my honest review.

My Opinion:
I had so much fun flipping through this book. It’s not a book you sit down and read. It’s a book that you page through and find something that sparks your interest at that moment. Or you go in searching for a section about which you want to know more. For me that was the Top Ten Skywatching Events of 2020. I have the page bookmarked so I won’t miss any.
There are sections for Trending 2020, Exploration and Adventure, This Planet & Beyond, Life on Earth, The Science of Us, Yesterday to Tomorrow, and Our World. Each section has many subsections that offer all kinds of interesting tidbits. It was fun to just open to a page and learn something new.
This would make a great gift for anyone that loves trivia or just likes learning new things. It’s also a great book for someone who wants to be a little ahead of the curve for information heading into the new year.
