Spring has finally sprung here in Western Montana and no one is happier than….well that is probably not true. We are ALL happy! It was a truly miserable winter and it is so nice to feel the sun and the almost warm breeze that I think everyone is outside.
As I have mentioned in the past one of my favorite things to do once the weather turns is to hang my laundry out on the line. I LOVE the feel and smell of sheets, towels and clothes that have been dried by the sun. I showed you my old method – the sad line strung between the shed and the trailer. Today I am going to show you my brand spankin’ new Sunshine Clothes Dryer! At the end there will be the chance for one lucky reader (in the lower 48) to win one of their very own!
It arrived VERY quickly by FedEx and the hubby got to setting it up (when the rains FINALLY stopped.)
It was very easy; he only needed to get a couple of tools from his box. I hope I don’t overwhelm you with technical terms from here on out….
He opened the box using his box cutter opener.
Then, surprisingly given that he is male, he READ THE DIRECTIONS!
Can you believe it? It must be the lawyer in him.
Then he took the support whodicker and wrenched on the whatchamacallits.
Have I lost you with the technical terms yet?
Now it was time to dig the hole and place the whodicker.
Then he refilled the hole and it was time to insert the Sunshine Clothes Dryer.
He pulled it up and set it to its full size.
How easy was that?!
Then he put it into the support whodicker buried in the ground.
He got it all set up for me and I was ready with my laundry.
I was one happy woman!
The Sunshine Clothes Dryer makes hanging the laundry outside so very easy.
It only took this intelligent woman a few walks around it to realize that IT SPINS!
I was distracted by the beautiful view I have as I hang my laundry. That’s it!!
Stinky the Farm cat was a BIG help….. 🙂 |
I can just stand there and spin the outdoor clothesline and let IT DO ALL THE WORK.
Silly me!
Once I figured that out – well! Now you won’t have to ’cause I have told you the not-so-secret.
I am so happy with my Sunshine Clothes Dryer! It was easy to install and it makes hanging the laundry outside FUN! I was ultimately able to get my two loads of laundry on it with room for much more. In fact I ran out of clothespins! The hubby has to buy me some more.
I love the huge energy savings from not having to use the dryer. I hang my clothes outside for as long as I can. Here in Montana it’s usually from around May through October. Every so often a day or two will surprise me in winter but it’s rare because it’s just so grey. I LOVE to take advantage of FREE clothes drying.
It folds in quite easily and if we decide to take it down for the winter there is a cap to cover the support whodicker so it doesn’t fill with water or other detritus and freeze and all that nasty stuff. This company has thought of everything!
As I wrote above, one lucky reader will get to experience the joy of hanging their clothes out in the sun.
How do you win? It’s easy!
