The weather here is at that “what do I wear” point that comes between Spring and Summer. It’s time to make some spring to summer fashion choices! When I wake up in the morning there is still a bit of a chill in the air but by the time lunch rolls around the sun is high in the sky the temps are working their way into the 80ies. Like any other time of year between season you have to learn to dress for two types of weather. I’m a huge fan of layering anyway as I am always cold but it becomes all the more important as you face those days where it is chilly in the morning and hot in the afternoon.
The hubby and I were heading down to Missoula the other day so he could volunteer for a few hours. I was going to go to the farmer’s market and then we were going to do some shopping. I like to be comfortable when I’m walking around so more times than not I’d rather wear a skirt or dress. Especially as things warm up – to me it’s just cooler.
The day was already warming as we got in the car to head down to “the big city.” I wore a new to me dress that I’ve picked up for my trip back east. It’s from a company called Salaam Clothing. They are located in Vermont. I found my beautiful dress on ThredUp.com which is my favorite place to shop these days. The dress is a comfy jersey knit that just doesn’t wrinkle. It’s going to be wonderful for travel as I can roll it in a ball and and it comes out looking perfect and ready to wear.
For my trip to town I topped it with my denim jacket and while I think Harry the Farm cat makes an excellent accessory I did not take him with me. I wore my always comfortable cowboy boots.
The dress is very body conscious but the pattern lets you get away with some lumps and bumps. It is super comfortable! I keep stalking ThredUp for more pieces from the company.
I was very comfortable with or without the jacket. I can also see a light sweater or wrap working just as nicely. I will be packing sandals for my trip home and you have to admit – this is a perfect dress to wear with a pretty pair of sandals.
It was in perfect condition when it arrived and it washed like a dream. I am going to enjoy having this in my wardrobe.
