This is just such a delightful book and after all that has happened in this year who doesn’t need a better day? All 2020 joking aside The Better Day Book is a beautifully illustrated guide to the wonderfully simple pleasures in life like sunrises, walks in the woods and celebrating your accomplishments – big and small. Just looking through the book will give you a smile thanks to Ms. Gibbs charming drawings and pretty, bright color choices.
Part journal, part guidebook there is joy in just paging though the book. Some of the 52 ways include going for a run (exercise), make a smoothie, and growing a garden. At the back of the book there are tear out cards to pass along to friends to help cheer them up as well. All in all it’s a book to give and share happiness.
I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed just paging through the book to look at the illustrations. They are so full of color and life that looking at them gives me a smile. This is a book to just open once a day – or maybe more – to ensure a little bit of happiness every day.
