The turn of the new year is traditionally a time of change. We are encouraged to take stock, look forward and make resolutions. I have never been one for making resolutions, but I do have goals I’d like to achieve in the coming year. Goals tend to involve change and as we all know change is often challenging, so to make sure I support my health as best as I can I take Vitamin C*.
What are my goals for 2015? Most of them involve this blog and truth be told I took the first step in October when I moved Broken Teepee to WordPress. I’ve been slowly feeling my way around, getting used to a new platform for posting my thoughts. It’s been exciting – and a little bit scary as I felt like a small fish in a very, very large sea. It’s time though to really take charge and get my blog set for a bright future.
The blog has had a complete redesign. The tagline has changed – it’s now Books, Cooks, Looks and Life on the Farm. I believe it better details the focus of the blog. My book reviews will continue – reading is a very important part of my life and always has been. I am just being far more selective in the books that I will read.
Cooking and baking will become a main focus of my blogging. I love to cook and some of my happiest times are those I spend in my kitchen. I am going to start adding cookbook reviews on a regular basis. I am taking a photography course in March and I know it will inspire me to take better photos which I hope will inspire you to try the recipes I create and demonstrate. Improving my photography is another big goal for me this year!
I long to share the experiences the hubby and I had while we were traveling around the country. I will make the time in my editorial calendar to do so. We saw so many beautiful places and I have hundreds of photos to scan. This country is amazing and if I can be the cause of one trip to a National Park or Monument my efforts will have been worth it.
I will also continue with my fashion posts. I have so enjoyed the search for clothes to fit my new body and the recent trend of upscale thrift shopping has been so wonderful. I will share my finds and how I put together outfits with just a few key pieces.
Life on the Farm will play more of a role on the blog. This has fallen by the wayside and it is an important part of my life. The goats and the farm cats have a lot to maaaa and meow and they will be heard. It will help to make the blog light, fun and hopefully impart that if you want to live this kind of life you can. What kind of life is that? The kind where you grow your own vegetables and really know where your food is coming from. That doesn’t mean I don’t indulge in things that are considered packaged or fatty – I do. I am, after all a child of my generation but I do, on the whole live a pretty healthy lifestyle. Part of that includes immune support with products like Ester-C*. I love that it’s gentle on my stomach. Ester-C has a unique form of Vitamin C that was specially designed to stay in your white blood cells for up to 24 hours to provide that immune support you want and need*. It also helps to support heart health and maintain your skin and gums*.
I found mine at my local Walmart and it’s now on Rollback!. It was easy to spot in the vitamin aisle. I am glad to have it supporting my immune system as I have enough to think about in my daily life*.
Thanks to Ester-C I can concentrate on my goals for the year. I am excited about the changes made to Broken Teepee and I hope you are too. It’s a big change and I’m looking forward to a bright 2015. I’ve got my Ester-C to keep my immune system happy and I’ve got a brand new year of blogging ahead of me*. Life is good!
