I have been avoiding all of the psychological thrillers that have been so popular lately because I like my sleep. I finally decided I should read what all of the fuss is about so when I was offered The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekanen I said yes. I thank St. Martin’s Press for sending me a copy at no charge for my honest review.
About The Wife Between Us:
When you read this book, you will make many assumptions.
You will assume you are reading about a jealous ex-wife.
You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement – a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love.
You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle.
Twisted and deliciously chilling, Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen’s The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage – and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.
Read between the lies.

I don’t read psychological drama type books these days because I like my sleep. I had read all of the reviews and was intrigued about The Wife Between Us so I thought I would give it a chance. I can’t say that reading it is going to have me chasing more books of its ilk but it was a change from my normal reading.
The book opens as a woman seems to be stalking her ex husband’s new fiance. Dual stories slowly unfold as the reader learns about both this man’s past relationship and his current one. He is a wealthy, successfdreul man but as great as he looks to the outside world his relationships are not always what they seem.
Or are they?
The plot of this is full of twists and turns and more twists. I didn’t see any of them coming and trying to get into the story will start to peel away the layers of the plot. Now I have not read many of these types of books so I can’t compare to others in the genre but I did find myself turning the pages trying to figure out what was going to happen next.
The characters are not the kind you can really get behind and root for – at least I couldn’t. They are just so far out of my realm of understanding so this was for me, the type of book I just had to go with. I had to suspend a certain amount of my reality to enjoy. When I did that I found I enjoyed the book more.
It was a riveting read.
