Thumper's Hospital Adventure by Katie Vandrilla-Children's Book Spotlight

Cappuccino the bunny has a friend on Instagram named Thumper. Thumper is an adorable plush bunny who owns a human named Katie Vandrilla. Katie received a cancer diagnosis and Thumper helped her get through it. So did the Make A Wish organization which granted her wish to meet Johnny Depp. Katie subsequently wrote a children’s book called Thumper’s Hospital Adventure. She donates the proceeds to the Make a Wish Foundation to help other young people experience what she did when her wish was granted.

I’m heartbroken over what the #coronavirus is doing to the world. Our #MakeAWish had to cancel their biggest event, and kids are waiting longer for their Wish until the world is safer. About the Author:

Katie Vandrilla is a high school chemistry teacher and drama club co-director, who writes for the fun of it. She has been a freelance journalist for her local newspaper, and has had flash fiction published online and in print, (mainly to benefit charities). She loves volunteering with Make-A-Wish® since they granted her Wish in 2011 to meet her hero. In her free time, she enjoys acting and scrapbooking.
