I’m going to share a little secret here – well maybe it’s not so much of a secret – I LOVE surprises.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them.
The thought of getting a box in the mail and not knowing what I might find when I open it.
HEAVEN!
And just such darn fun!
But before I show you what was in my box, let me tell you a bit about Wantable and the experience of ordering the box.
Wantable allows you to subscribe for $36 a month – you can skip a month or cancel at any time – or just purchase one box for any given month for $40. There are three categories; accessories, makeup and intimates. How exciting, right? Which one did I pick? Well, I don’t wear make up and I don’t wear jewelry so…..
…I went with the intimates box! The process from picking which box to receiving the box was fun! Wantable wants to be sure that you get products that are tailored to your likes, needs and desires so before you pay for your box there are a series of questions complete with pictures asking you what you like; bright colors or neutrals, classic or trendy, small or medium – you get the idea. Then you checkout. With the intimates box I was guaranteed 4 – 5 quality items and I must say that I was very happy with what I received.
There were four items in my box – two pairs of panties, a camisole and a fantastic pair of socks. I LOVE socks! As you can see there is a lot of nice bright color here which is exactly what I indicated I liked. The panties are very different from my usual single color, cotton Victoria’s Secret variety. The blue pair is silky, has some pretty lace and there is a crystal embellishment on the front! The black and pink pair is from Betsy Johnson, also has some lace, that sweet pink bow and the inside has leopard print. I would never buy frilly panties for myself at this stage in my life but it’s certainly nice to have some!
The camisole is 100% cotton and unbelievably soft and light. It’s like wearing nothing at all. It’s in one of my favorite colors and will make a great layering piece all year round. I’m always, ALWAYS cold so it’s nice to have a variety of layers in different weights that I can count on to keep me warm. And the socks. Is that not one of the happiest color combinations? They too, are super soft.
The Happy Socks make for Happy Feet! They come up and over my knee so they will be a great layer until it becomes long underwear season.
I was very pleased with my Wantable Intimates Box. I placed my order and it seems I no more than turned around and it was in my mailbox! That is super fast service. Now, would I subscribe? I don’t think so because I wouldn’t need new panties, etc. every month. Would I treat myself now and again – most assuredly! The retail value of the pieces in my box added up to $74 so if I had paid the $40 for the box I would have gotten the items on a pretty good sale. The surprise, at least for someone like me, is priceless!
If I were still working I’d be wearing make up and dressing in suits and much fancier clothing than I do to go out to the goat pen. I would then find the make up and accessories boxes quite appealing. Trends change quickly in both of those areas and finding a way to keep up without spending lots of cash is what Wantable is offering. I think it’s a fun service and I think it would make a fun gift. I am going to keep it in mind for my goddaughters as their birthdays roll around next year.
So check Wantable out whether for yourself or for a gift for someone – you know that fashionable person you just don’t know WHAT to get them. Give them a gift certificate to Wantable and let them have the joy of a fun surprise in the mail. I know I had fun.
