I’m sure you know by now that I love the Farm cats. They make me smile, they make me laugh and they give me a lot of joy. I am not the only one who loves her animals – America loves pets! I’m pleased to bring this discussion on how much we love our furry, feathered, finned and scaly family members to you thanks to TrustedHousesitters.com They have sponsored this post but I’m sharing my thoughts.
Are You Going Away?
Since the hubby retired we have been able to sneak away for some time together. When we had the goats we couldn’t take vacations at the same time because one of us had to take care of them. Now we can enjoy some travel time but I don’t like to leave the cats alone for an extended period of time. If it’s going to be more than two days I seek a cat sitter. I just learned about Trustedhousesitters.com It’s a site where you can go to list your needs and people then apply to fulfill them.
Many people choose to housesit and care for your pets for just a place to stay. Others charge a fee. You can view their resumes and pick which one you feel is the best fit. How much easier is it to go away knowing that you have some one staying at your home while you are gone caring for your pets.
If you are interested in being a house sitter you can sign up to be one and this allows you to travel to different places while having a place to stay. You just need to care for pets – how much fun is that?
America Loves Pets But What Are the Favorites?
What is the favorite pet in your state? Do you know? TrustedHousesitters.com has a really fun interactive map that can give you the answer. You can click on each state to find out the most talked about pet on social media. For Montana the Sphynx cat and Labrador dog were most popular. There was also much discussion about ferrets, lizards and birds which just goes to show the diversity of pets in the Treasure state.
I’m sure it’s no secret what MY favorite pet is. Hey, how did those Happy Ducks sneak themselves in there. They are very tricky little birds. I do enjoy these feathered cuties but they aren’t my favorites. Sorry, Happy Ducks. You are just not cuddly creatures.
It’s the Farm cats that have captured my heart and everyone knows it! They are there for me when I need a purr or a cuddle or just a furry little presence next to me on the couch. Although sometimes Sherpa can take up a little too much room – nothing like a 15lb cat!
What About Other States?
The Farm cats might like it if we moved back to New Jersey. I checked out the info from my former home state and apparently they talk about pet mice there more than any other state. We all know how much the Farm cats like mousies! There they chat most about bulldogs and Persian cats on social media – and hedgehogs! See how much fun you can have checking the different states?
