Every so often the Farm cats have to earn their keep so I put them to work. Trust me, the jobs I give them are never onerous and somehow they come out better for having done them. Like today’s work – Catit sent their Oasis Package for review and I said that the Farm cats would give their honest meows. I have to admit that I was very remiss in not taking a photo of the very big box that arrived. Everycat in the yurt wanted to know what was in the big box.
Inside the very big box were many smaller boxes. I’m going to stop here to share that I love that Catit uses recycled materials to make its boxes and their packaging has directions for turning the boxes into playthings for your cats. You can cut various holes and drop some treats in and let your cats have fun.
The Oasis package has a wonderful array of Catit products including:
- Magic Blue Cartridge
- Flower Fountain
- Multi Feeder
- Senses 2.0 Wellness Center
- Senses 2.0 Super Circuit
- Senses 2.0 Grass Planter
- Senses 2.0 Cat Grass Kit
- Senses 2.0 Scratcher
- Pure – Cat Portraits, Photography Book
If you bought all of these products separately they would sell for $155.93 but if you buy the Oasis kit it only costs $129.99. There are two other bundles available on the site that you can check out called the Cafe and Spa. Both offer a nice discount.
The Farm cat’s favorite of all of the great stuff in the box was the Flower Fountain. Their last fountain had to be relocated because the hubby didn’t like the sound of falling water as much as I did. This one is just about silent so it’s perfect.
I’ve seen all four of them using it but getting good photos is another story as the bathroom is the only room in the yurt without a lot of windows. The amount of light available is minimal at best. But they really love it.
I had help of a sort with the next product. I told Harry he was going to have a treat. I don’t think he was convinced. Little did he know! I was setting up the Grass Planter. It was very easy to do which meant I did it wrong to start. After I got the growing material and seeds in the right place we were good to go.
Harry gave it his sniff of approval. He was still not convinced that this was going to be something he’d like but I told him to give it time.
And in about a week there was grass! I must admit I was quite surprised at how quickly it grew. It looks so cool peaking out of the holes. I have it sitting on the floor of the yurt by the sliding glass doors with all of my other plants so it has company and it gets a lot of light.
Although I’m not sure how long it will last with four nibbling cats in the yurt. I am all in favor of them eating this as it will keep them away from my spider plant. They usually just go outside and eat what grows but in the winter there really isn’t any grass to be found. Now they have some tasty greens.
I also set up the Scratcher and put it in what the hubby calls “cat corner.” It’s where they have most of their stuff although not all. As I’ve mentioned – the Farm cats are spoiled. I’ve heard them scratching on it but so far I haven’t caught them on film.
The Farm cats were very thrilled to receive all of these great Catit products. They also know that they are very lucky cats so they decided they weren’t going to keep everything that they were sent. They decided that they were going to donate some of their Catit largesse to their favorite shelter, AniMeals. They know that the kitties in the shelter don’t have as many nice things as they do.
They figured that the shelter kitties would really enjoy the Super Circuit. Harry thought that since he gets to hunt real gophers and mousies he would send this to the kitties who don’t go outside.
They are also sending the Wellness Center because the kitties in the shelter need all the relaxation help they can get – don’t you agree? I think that it will be really appreciated. The Multi Feeder will go too as there are several sections in the shelter where they keep the kitties and I’m sure it will be very useful for them.
The Farm cats thank the very nice people at Catit for sending all of these very cool products and giving them the opportunity to share with AniMeals.
The last thing in the box was a glorious book full of stunning photos of cats and kittens that just makes you smile to look through it. I’m keeping it for those days that you just need a lift. It comes in all three bundles from Catit as a free bonus. I could take a picture of it but I wouldn’t begin to do the photos justice – they are so beautiful. You will just have to take my word for it and order one of the bundles for yourself. heh.
