Holiday Fashion at Thred UP

I have been buying most of my “new” clothes from Thred Up for the last oh, probably 5 years. Ever since I discovered the site that was it for me. Everything I have bought has been in excellent shape and it allows me to purchase well made, high quality clothing at a steep discount.

Did you know you can find holiday fashion at Thred Up? I have bought many a celebratory piece of clothing from the site and know I will continue to do so. One of my lasting regrets is that I didn’t purchase this stunning velvet dress the last time I ordered a Goody Box. I loved this dress but couldn’t imagine where I would wear it. Of course since I sent it back I have had several occasions where it would have been perfect.

Sweaters to Keep You Warm

I live in sweaters here in cold country. My favorite are cashmere sweaters. I find them to be warm and perfect layering pieces. The blue one above is one of my favorites and I wear it all.the.time. (The silk blouse underneath is also a ThredUp find. The necklace was made by my very talented friend Vicki Potter.)

The beauty of online thrift shopping at Thred Up is that you can purchase cashmere from brands like J. Crew or Ralph Lauren. I have a lovely collection of classic sweaters now that I can pair with other pieces I have bought on the site or have received as gifts.

It’s fun to pick a brightly colored sweater, put it on top of a plaid shirt and add one of my leather jackets – I have several now, also thanks to Thred Up. I look put together, I feel great and I’m ready to go out for all of those holiday celebrations.

Holiday Shopping at Thred Up

In this time of trying to be more Earth friendly, why not shop at Thred Up this holiday season? Did you know you can buy items that are new with tags? You can! Do you have a handbag lover on your list – you can find them a gorgeous Kate Spade purse at a deep discount. Or how about a Jones New York Scarf for someone special on your list?

sweater and skirt

If you want to treat yourself to something this holiday season ThredUp is the place to shop. I’ve had that white sweater for three years and it’s still one of my favorites. If you want to surprise yourself, just order a ThredUp Goody Box. You can tailor it to your wants like Fall Essentials or 9 to 5 Styles. You just pay a $10 fee and the box will soon be on its way. Inside you will find pieces chosen just for you. You can keep what you want and send back the rest. I’ve done a few and they are a lot of fun.

New to ThredUp?

If you have never shopped at ThredUp now is the time to start. There are awesome discounts for first time shoppers and new sales starting soon. I have signed up for emails and I get notifications of all the sales. I also get sent notices if any of my favorited items go down in price. After one email telling me about a price drop I was able to pick up an Anne Taylor Dress for $3! So whether you are looking for a skirt, sweater or a cocktail dress you will find it there. You can also find what you need to accessorize your look – shoes, bag and jewelry
