easy to make, but very tasty

Scale
  • 2 boneless pork chops
  • 1 crisp, organic apple
  • 1 TBS pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 TBS all purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Peel, seed and chop the apple into small chunks.
  • On a small plate mix together the flour, salt and pepper.
  • Dredge the chops in the flour mixture and set aside.
  • Heat tsp butter over medium heat. Add the apple and let cook until slightly softened. Stir in the brown sugar, allspice and cider vinegar. Let simmer until slightly reduced. Set aside in pan.
  • Heat small fry pan over medium heat. Add tsp of canola oil. Pan fry pork for about two minutes on each side and remove from pan.
  • Add pork to apples and heat through.
  • Serve with sides of choice – I had sliced, baked potatoes and roasted cauliflower.
